Discover yourself in Labyrinth Canyon

You find out what you are made of how you are truly meant to contribute to the world. One Wild Life Expeditions are backcountry coaching expeditions that get into the bones of your evolution. This Canoe Adventure is designed for people longing to step into the most authentic version of themselves. You will identify your essential strengths, build your capacity to move through what is holding you back and accelerate your transformation. A canoe expedition offers you direct, experiential learning and feedback. You get to practice making new moves in real time, learning new skills, managing uncertainty, making decisions and finding inspiration in your surroundings. You get to slow down and reflect on what matters most to you. You learn things about yourself that translate directly to what you are trying to do in the world.

Here’s what happens on the Expedition:

  • Front End / Pre-Trip Coaching

You begin with two sessions to get clear on what you are longing for with your coach. Together we’ll design your unique coaching program that lets you see yourself clearly and imagine a new way of being that supports your most aligned way of being.

  • The Expedition

We will load our canoes and paddle down the Green River through stunning canyons for 6 days. We’ll start our mornings with guided movement and mindfulness practice. Each day we will offer prompts and frameworks to help you get clear about your edges. We’ll have a mix of nourishing group experience and delicious solo time. You’ll have individual conversations with your coach. You’ll watch yourself in action as you live in a group, make decisions, and do hard things. You’ll get clarity on your patterns of resistance, your unique gifts, and how you are meant to contribute in this world.

  • The Place

This river corridor travels through beautiful canyon landscapes. We will have opportunities to explore side canyons and hike to the rim. We’ll have time to sit still and reflect. In a tandem canoe you will learn to control your boat, find a rhythm with your paddling partner and deepen your communication skills. You will learn to camp and cook in the backcountry, make leadership decisions, and increase your confidence in river travel. The gentle rhythm of a canoe expedition will offer you deep self reflection and open you to new possibilities.

  • Post-Expedition Coaching

After the dust has settled and laundry is done you’ll get on a call with your coach to integrate and anchor what you’ve learner and practiced. You’ll map out a path forward that allows you to come into your fuil capacity in your real life.

  • Online Community

We’ll stay connected in a private online group where we cheer each other on and give and get support.

  • Included in Your Registration:

Individual coaching and the full expedition experience. We provide all group camping gear, canoes, paddles and PFDs. Individual camping gear is available to borrow. We’ll give you a detailed equipment list and help you decide what to pack. Specific dietary needs can be easily met.

Nuts and Bolts

We meet at our in Salt Lake City, on the afternoon of October 11th and head to Green River State Park.  We will begin to form together as a group, organize and pack our gear. The next morning we launch on the river and the adventure begins. You can expect to paddle between 4-6 hours each day. The river is flat water, with no rapids, but you will need to learn to maneuver your canoe to avoid hazards. We will teach you everything you need to learn to feel confident traveling downstream. Camp will be simple outdoor living with no facilities. We can sleep on the ground, under a tarp, in a tent, or ideally under the stars if the weather is kind. Each of us contributes to cooking, outdoor living tasks and a supportive group culture. On October 18th we’ll take out at Mineral Bottom and have a spectacular drive back to Green River State Park. Here we will shower up at our hotel, debrief, have a celebratory dinner, and you head home the next day.

You do not need to have prior experience canoeing or camping. We will provide all the support to let you thrive even if you have never slept outside or had a paddle in your hands. You need to be comfortable getting in and out of an unstable boat, with carrying heavy gear and with some physical exertion. You need to be open to experiencing your body in new and challenging ways. Often, people are surprised by how capable they are physically and humbled by mental challenges they didn’t expect. This is our most physically accessible expedition.
