One Wild Life Expeditions

Let the wild transform you

Coaching expeditions that take you deep:

into the wilderness, into the healing power of community, and into your own greatest truths.

Being in wild places connects you to your core self.

You find out what you are made of and hear what’s calling your soul. One Wild Life Expeditions are immersive backcountry coaching expeditions that get into the bones of your longing. Designed for anyone in transition or on the verge– in life or work– our expeditions help you get clear on your purpose and align your life with what matters most.

One Wild Life Expeditions for Personal and Leadership Development:

If you are in any kind of transition —personal, professional, creative, spiritual, or other — our expeditions are for you. Maybe you’re looking to shake up your career. Maybe you’re facing the end of a long relationship. Maybe you’re just hungry for deeper meaning but don’t quite know how to articulate or find it. Whatever soup you are in, we’ve got you. You’re in exactly the right place.

Our expeditions can be a powerful recharge for leaders making a difference. You’ve dedicated your career to making the world better - in your team, your organization, for the people you serve, at any scale — community, national or global.

-you’ve given so much of your life energy and are finding yourself burned out or disconnected

-you are so bogged down by the tasks and demands you have little space for aligning with the guiding why that fuels your work.

-you are on the cusp of larger influence but struggle to move as a leader with your heartfelt authenticity.

Our expeditions offer a powerful connection to your why, and practices to step into your most authentic and powerful version of leadership.

What can I expect?

One Wild Life Expeditions are a mix of deep experiential learning, group process, individual coaching and adventure. Our journeys are carefully facilitated and led, but not guided. You’ll set up tents, learn to cook outside, communicate, navigate, and make decisions. Each person contributes to a nourishing, rich community. As a group, you’ll travel through the remote backcountry and emerge uniquely transformed.

What’s different about One Wild Life Expeditions?

This isn’t just an amazing trip in a pretty place. This is an opportunity to cultivate core life shifts that stay with you well beyond the expedition.

In the backcountry, you practice and embody new capabilities. Coaching offers you a framework for understanding your habits and what you are longing to step into. The group offers you profound witnessing. All of these factors lead you straight to the heart of your truth, opening a clear path for new ways of being.

Before your expedition begins, you’ll meet with your coach and get crystal clear on your deepest longings and intentions. We’ll explore what has you stuck and what parts of you are ready to be unlocked. Together we create a coaching program that sets you on a course  for change.

On the expedition, you’ll receive a mix of group and individual coaching, facilitated reflection, somatic practice and deep experiential leadership learning. You’ll gain powerful insights into your habits and patterns, and find soul shifting ways to live closer to your dreams.

After the expedition, you have a followup session with your coach to integrate the powerful shifts you found in the wilderness. Together you’ll chart a path forward that will let you live lasting change. You’ll be supported by loving community every step of the way.

  • This trip has both softened & strengthened me.

Broken me open & gently nurtured new growth. It is deeply transformative to move my life in new ways while being held simultaneously in the cradle of community & wilderness. Both are what is needed to change the world.

  • I wish I could do this trip once a year.

It was incredible, absolutely incredible to be in such a beautiful place with incredible people and to feel so well held and appropriately challenged and ultimately safe (because I trusted the group). It was a potent reminder of what is important and felt like it allowed me to strip down to the core of what I want in my life moving forward and the kind of people I want to be around. I was able to access some really old parts of myself that I have been unacquainted with for a long time in such a beautiful and gentle way. It was invaluable on so many levels. Liz and Lindsay are totally amazing and the group they called together was totally amazing. As was the route and everything about it, amazing. It earned my very highest recommendation!!

  • This experience changed my life!

Some people would never think going into the woods, sleeping on the hard, cold ground & struggling each day could make for an enjoyable time. They would be wrong! This experience changed my life! I found a part of me that was lost in those woods. I came out a stronger person, better friend & able to be in my life with confidence. These ladies helped me more than anyone else in my life. I'm forever grateful. I've made friends for life.

    —Yellowstone Journey, 2023

  • I was and am amazed by Liz's ability to cut straight to the shit.

And to challenge right up to the point of discomfort. In a wildly loving and compassionate way. Like, how? How do you do that? It's incredible. I think of myself as fairly self-aware and also fairly aware of how others are showing up, but then I get around Liz and am like OH! I SEE! The depth and nuance of her understanding and her seeing blow me away. It's so authentically helpful in this real, actual, messy world. Thank you.

  • Ah. Lindsay's quiet, calm, and unbelievable humor were incredible.

Her reflections were spot-on, every time. I could have taken a million more hours of time on the trail with her. I loved and appreciated that she was so clearly and openly working on her own ways even as she was coaching, and that she was so willing to share that process with everyone. Her voice, her perspective, her gentleness—truly unbeatable AND so so necessary in this world.

Meet your Coach / Facilitators

  • Liz Hardwick

I’ve spent a lot of my life outside and find profound power and healing in nature. For the last 20 years I’ve led life changing backcountry expeditions through NOLS. For the past 6 years I’ve been supporting people on transformational journeys as an Integral Master Coach. Coaching matters deeply to me, not just for the profound expansion my client’s experience, but for the ways this work allows us all to live into a world with more liberation and more healing. I’m all about radical self-love, emergence, and having the audacity to dream about what’s possible. I’m steeped in self-inquiry and spiritual practice, community work, and trying to keep some semblance of sanity and parent small kids. I draw sustenance from the Wind River Mountains where I live, the traditional territory of the Eastern Shoshone, Northern Arapaho and 11 other tribes.
