One Wild Life Expeditions

Let the wild transform you

Coaching expeditions that take you deep:

into the wilderness, into the healing power of community, and into your own greatest truths.

Being in wild places connects you to your core self.

You find out what you are made of and hear what’s calling your soul. One Wild Life Expeditions are immersive backcountry coaching expeditions that get into the bones of your longing. Designed for anyone in transition or on the verge– in life or work– our expeditions help you get clear on your purpose and align your life with what matters most.

If you are in any kind of transition —personal, professional, creative, or spiritual — our expeditions are for you.

Maybe you’re looking to shake up your career. Maybe you’re facing the end of a long relationship. Maybe you’re hungry for deeper meaning or larger influence in how you lead, live or love. Whatever soup you are in, we’ve got you. You’re in exactly the right place.

Our expeditions offer

• a powerful, clarifying recharge

• a chance to crystalize around your guiding why

• a catalyst into the truest and most alive version of you

What can I expect?

One Wild Life Expeditions are a mix of deep experiential learning, group process, individual coaching and adventure. Our journeys are carefully facilitated and led, but not guided. You’ll set up tents, learn to cook outside, communicate, navigate, and make decisions. Each person contributes to a nourishing, rich community. As a group, you’ll travel through the remote backcountry and emerge uniquely transformed.

What’s different about One Wild Life Expeditions?

This isn’t just an amazing trip in a pretty place. This is an opportunity to cultivate core life shifts that stay with you well beyond the expedition.

In the backcountry, you practice and embody new capabilities. Coaching offers you a framework for understanding your habits and what you are longing to step into. The group offers you profound witnessing. All of these factors lead you straight to the heart of your truth, opening a clear path for new ways of being.

Before your expedition begins, you’ll meet with your coach and get crystal clear on your deepest longings and intentions. We’ll explore what has you stuck and what parts of you are ready to be unlocked. Together we create a coaching program that sets you on a course  for change.

On the expedition, you’ll receive a mix of group and individual coaching, facilitated reflection, somatic practice and deep experiential leadership learning. You’ll gain powerful insights into your habits and patterns, and find soul shifting ways to live closer to your dreams.

After the expedition, you have a followup session with your coach to integrate the powerful shifts you found in the wilderness. Together you’ll chart a path forward that will let you live lasting change. You’ll be supported by loving community every step of the way.

  • Liz Hardwick

I’ve spent a lot of my life outside and find profound power and healing in nature. For the last 20 years I’ve led life changing backcountry expeditions through NOLS. For the past 6 years I’ve been supporting people on transformational journeys as an Integral Master Coach. Coaching matters deeply to me, not just for the profound expansion my client’s experience, but for the ways this work allows us all to live into a world with more liberation and more healing. I’m all about radical self-love, emergence, and having the audacity to dream about what’s possible. I’m steeped in self-inquiry and spiritual practice, community work, and trying to keep some semblance of sanity and parent small kids. I draw sustenance from the Wind River Mountains where I live, the traditional territory of the Eastern Shoshone, Northern Arapaho and 11 other tribes.

“Each of you is perfect the way you are ... and you can use a little improvement.”

― Shunryu Suzuki, Zen monk and teacher

The paradox of this quote lays the foundation for my ability to see unique gifts in everyone. I have a passion for helping people develop new capabilities they long to embody. I’ve been a coach and mentor my whole career. As a NOLS instructor I help people build self-awareness in challenging and uncertain environments. As a coach I rely on presence, embodied listening, connection, and humor to support people into profound change.

I’m a faculty mentor at NOLS, a Professional Integral Coach and a Mindfulness Practitioner through the Mindful Life Program. I have a master’s degree in Public Administration focused on leadership development and organizational culture. And I’m going to make you laugh till you pee at least once.
